Straight Up
The Minecraft server “Straight Up” is always looking for more players. We are a small, “run from home” style anarchy server, intended to create a laidback survival experience that is as close to vanilla as possible.
Created on April 1st 2019, it is our hope to never reset the overworld map to preserve the many interesting builds and places that other players have created. With the introduction of new terrain in 1.18, the server has removed chunks that were loaded in for a very short period of time. This allows us to preserve all existing builds while enabling new 1.18 terrain to generate within a couple thousand blocks of spawn.
The server has no protected spawn area. Expect to start off at a random position within 500 blocks from the exact center of the world (x0, z0). Griefing, stealing, fighting, and any other player-vs-player activities are permitted. A small starter kit is available, simply type “/trigger kit” into the chat without the quotes.

FeaturesPlay as a bender and choose which type you would like to be.

Factions, PvP, raiding/griefing
Nothing is required client-side
Bending
Users may bend water, earth, fire, air, or can go with being a chiblocker.. You may pick which type of bender you would like to be with the command: /bending choose [water/air/earth/fire/chi]. You may only choose one, with the exception of the Avatar, and you may never change it so be careful in your decision.
WaterbendingSpecializes in maneuverability in and on the water.
Oceans are perfect for water benders.
Techniques range from shooting water that do damage, freezing lakes, or even pushing enemies back with powerful waves.
This bending style is a mixture of offensive and defensive.
Water bending opens up many options in bodies of water that are otherwise closed to the other disciplines.
EarthbendingSpecializes in manipulating the earth around them.
Any area which contains land is perfect for earth benders.
They have the abilities to pull columns straight up from the earth, drill their way through any mountain and launch themselves through the air.
This bending style, like water bending, is a mixture of offensive and defensive.
Earth benders do not take fall damage as long as they land on the ground.
FirebendingSpecializes on destruction and incineration.
Any environment, besides on any bodies of water, is perfect for them.
They may create rings of fire on the ground, shoot lines of fire, and even create exploding fireballs.
This bending style is pure offensive, and very little mobility/defense.
Fireball is the only ability they may use that does not require any solid ground beneath them.
AirbendingSpecializes in mobility & defense.
The land is the ideal place for airbenders, although they may also bend over the water.
Bending air allows you to use wind to blast things away, forming a shield of air around you, or using a tornado to lift you, or your opponent, off of their feet.
This bending style is perfect for pacifists and explorers for they lack any raw damage output, but make up for it with their utility and speed.
Choosing air as your element increases your overall speed, decreases the rate of hunger and disables fall damage.
Chi BlockingSpecializes in bare handed combat.
Move faster, jump higher, take less fall damage.
Can block someones chi, stopping them from Bending for a short period of time.
Abilities range from Higher Jumps, Faster Punches, and Paralysis of enemies.

Moderation:
We take staffing very seriously, which is why we have Staff Applications coming out at regular intervals to create the atmosphere for proper vetting, training, and deployment of staff. Staff have access to all the information and support they would need, and we take pride in our use of technology to make the process easier. Ban appeals are sent straight to an appeals channel, where people can look through and approve or deny them accordingly.

While the initial setup was done in quite a closed setup, most things will be decided by a vote, so people can give direct input on if they approve of a decision or not.

Looking for an adventure? A unique server not quite like all the others? Look no further. A mix of RuneScape, Terraria, classic Minecraft, AdventureCraft, World of Warcraft, and with inspiration from both WynnCraft and Hypixel Skyblock, our community focuses on extending the vanilla experience as far as possible while still retaining the feeling of simple, basic gameplay. With over 400+ new items, armors, enchantments, tools, and NPC's to explore and experiment with, as well as a vault full of planned content already designed, you will always have something to do, a goal to work towards, and a community to bring it all together.
Rest assured; when you join the Realm of Aureus, it will be simple. Unlike other servers of similar design, we focus on making the game as understandable as possible for the average player. No excessive leveling system, no items with lore and information that extends off the screen, no need to read a manual to figure out what keybinds to use. We only use recognizable formats for items, a straightforward level progression system, and enchantments that feel natural, as if they belong in the base game. All expansions use assets already in the game, so don't worry; If you are familiar with vanilla, you will be able to start off strong. When you join, you will start with nothing. How you progress is entirely up to you: we won't hold your hand any more than you want us to.
We are not a Pay-to-Win server, and we never will be. We have a secure line of funding to ensure only the best hosting, software, and code is utilized for the best possible player experience. Our success is determined by how the community responds to the quality and quantity of our updates. We also firmly believe that the integrity of the in-game economy is of the utmost importance, and will do our best to ensure free and fair gameplay among all members.
