Arcadia Gameplay
Survival is what made Arcadia what it is today. Our Survival server is the longest running one and still remains to this day! To keep our Survival server at the highest quality, we use a few tweaks (plug-ins) to aid in providing the perfect experience for our players. Some of them are listed below:
Auto-locking chest, furnaces and dispensers.
Warp points to visit points of interest and towns.
Anti-griefing/grief prevention tools.
The Overhaul
Before, Arcadia was a single server that had many worlds to visit, and had far many less features as it does today. However, Arcadia was recently underwent a major overhaul to become the Arcadia Hub Server! This allowed Arcadia to expand and open up more options to not only our current and loyal players, but to those who want to find new ways to play Minecraft!
In the process, many new features were added to Arcadia, which are as follows:
Two separate Creative worlds have been a work in the making. Creative is a major aspect in a lot of Minecrafter's life; it gives the player the opportunity to plan and layout their builds before creating it in Survival, or even just to test new ideas! Because of that, Arcadia has designed two separate creative worlds for both the people with the knack for building, and for those with the knack for redstone.
Vanilla Survival was a recent addition to Arcadia. It served as a way to play Vanilla Survival without any tweaks and to give players the ability to "feel at home." In our Vanilla world, the gameplay is one-hundred percent Vanilla, but, our Administrative Staff have a few tools in place to prevent griefing and stealing.
Mini-games are becoming very demanding among the Minecraft community because a lot of people are simply losing the feel for Survival Minecraft. Which is why Arcadia offers some of the most popular mini-games to our players to play whether it be with friends after a long day of digging, or to settle a (friendly) dispute.
Due to a longing for more challenging and competitive gameplay than survival presents, and Extremely Hard Mode server has been added. PvP and Grefing is allowed, and the map will be reset every four months to ensure everything's more or less fair for anyone who wants to join. Think of it like an extra-hard factions world, that shouldn't have any problems with X-ray or overpowered factions. EHM comes with numerous gameplay changes, which can be seen here.

When Arcadia was started in October of 2011 by a few friends who met on other Minecraft Servers, the Server has grown substantially in population as well as quality. Arcadia's Staff members are consistently available to assist with any issues players may encounter, and our dedicated players are also available and usually willing to help others.
During Arcadias' Survival stage, Arcadia's founders experimented with many different seeds before settling with the stunning terrain of the original map that still exist to this day. Saturated with magnificent mountains, lush forests, and rich jungles, Arcadians' enjoy peace of mind knowing that there is always a perfect place for them to take their creativity to the next level.
Building aesthetics and redstone mechanics.
The community of Arcadia Minecraft as a whole is serious about filling their amazing structures with real originality and pure creativity. Only a few Arcadians are at a genius level of building, but we all like to build things that look well organized and neat. If you're not great at constructing well-looking buildings, other players and staff are readily available to help you if you have an idea but aren't quite sure of how exactly to implement it. One of the things we enjoy as a community, is seeing people develop and evolve their building aesthetics as time goes on.
But, at Arcadia, we also recognize those we the skill and mastery of redstone. Players tend to want to use redstone to automate farming, or even for lighting! So, if you're looking to implement a redstone system into your build, but aren't quite sure how, our players and staff will be there to assist you!

Every server has it's issues, big or small, it's a given. Arcadia Minecraft's well education Staff has the experience and acuity to resolve anything which presents a problem. Whether there is a spammer on the server, a griefer, or a small land dispute, all Staff members are equipped with the necessary tools and are qualified to handle any situation.

Custom Dimensions (NO MODS REQUIRED):
Sculk (Deep Deep Dark) - If you successfully kill the Warden, it will drop a key that can be used to activate the portal in the center of the city. Upon entering you will end up in a new mysterious world filled with sculk and decayed/corrupted biomes. This is the most dangerous place on the server as sculk sensors and shriekers are everywhere and multiple Wardens can spawn. The little camps and structures around the world have custom mobs in them which can one hit kill you similar to the Warden if you're not wearing good armor. They're like the mobs found in mansions but stronger. The air is also toxic in this world and you slowly become "corrupted" which adds negative potion effects to your character. At 70% you will start to die from poison, at 90% you will get withered, at 100% you must die to remove the effects even if you escape back to overworld.
Teleportation, flying, and town claiming are disabled in this world. You must find a naturally spawned portal to return back to overworld. Coordinates in the Sculk world mirror that of the overworld.
Why would anyone want to visit this place? There are some rare items which can only be obtained in the sculk dimension. Special totems which give effects indefinitely similar to beacons (regen, resist, water breathing, etc) as long as you hold it in your hand. A sword which gives you as many hearts as the Warden and a sword which allows you to move really REALLY fast. The sculk dimension is also a great place to hide stuff from other players.

Aether - Making a portal out of glowstone and activating it with a water bucket will send you to a sky dimension.
Super Amplified - A place you can visit to build and see epic mountains and world generation similar to old minecraft farlands.

Gameplay dynamics
PvP is enabled everywhere on the server except certain admin claims (like spawn) and home/core chunks, regardless of a town's settings. All towns only get 1 chunk which has pvp disabled which is the H. This is to encourage castle building.

Friendly fire pvp is only disabled for members in the same town and not nationwide nor allies. This is to encourage discipline and honor systems between towns within the same nation and allies. As a town misbehaving within a nation can cause them to be kicked from their nation and lose protection on chunks.

A player may purchase invincibility from PvP for $1M for 24 hours. Useful if you want to be left alone regardless of where you are on the server. Keep in mind that this will NOT work upon visiting admin created special dungeons or certain dimensions. You will not be able to attack any players until the 24 hours has passed. Also does not protect you from mobs.

Chests and most storage blocks can be opened regardless of a town's settings. This is to encourage players to actually protect their stuff instead of leaving it out in the open. Viacraft's goal is to make gameplay somewhat realistic.

Town residents have the ability to fly by typing /tfly by default all town residents have access to this a mayor can disable this though. Allies (and of course enemies and outlaws) do not have /tfly in your town, however mayors and viziers can trust a person with flight in their town. VIA rank, although they have the ability to fly anywhere, they are NOT allowed to fly in towns that aren't apart of or trusted in. Please report abuse to staff.

This is to encourage building great things while also maintaining fairness in PvP. As I want walls to be effective and players not be required to put a roof/ceiling on everything.

Towns only get 10-20 claim chunks by default and does not change regardless of residents or monetary status. Once a town creates or joins a nation the amount of chunks a town can claim increases substantially; 100 chunks and then increases based on how many residents you have. This is to encourage competitive gameplay as FlagWar does not allow nationless towns to attack or be attacked. Towns can purchase neutrality which makes them invincible to being war flagged for $100K a day. Nations can purchase neutrality for $10M a day, the price is high because this protects ALL towns within the nation regardless if the town itself paid for neutrality. This encourages taxes and grinding/farming.

All towns within a nation have wilderness around them protected by about 2-5 chunks. Residents of the town and nation will be able to do stuff within these chunks as normal but outsiders will not be able to do much of anything. This is called NationZone or NZ. Nation capitals will have larger NZ.

Overworld, Nether, End, and Sculk are 100K by 100K. This will be increased to 1m, 5m, and 10m depending upon the playerbase growth.
Gameplay Features
Weapon cooldowns
Because most people disliked the 1.9 combat update due to this change, Viacraft has restored hit cooldowns back to their pre-1.9 state.
Dual-wielding
You can use items like swords and pickaxes in your offhand just like in your dominate hand. Mojang should have done it this way instead, because fighting someone with 2 swords is cool. So Viacraft made it possible.
Notch Apples
Enchanted Golden Apples are craftable again on Viacraft with 8 gold blocks. Notch apples are also given a little buff from their default potion effects.

You start Sirus Prison as a d-block prisoner. Using money, you can buy your way up to improved blocks, and eventually to freedom. In d-block, money-making methods are limited, and the risk of dying from other players is high. As you progress, more methods become available, and the risk of dying is reduced.
The prison is constantly patrolled by guards and DEAs. Guards are there to confiscate weapons and break up fights. DEAs are there to confiscate drugs.
Big Has Never Been This Big.
Sirus Prison Center is a prison-based around working your way to freedom. Once a prisoner has worked his way through the ranks, he may buy himself free. While your working your way out, it is suggested that prisoners make alliances with other inmates throughout your stay here. Always watch your back!
This map was inspired by Imprisoned but was completely rebuilt by our owners and staff. We take full credit for the build and changes we made, but thank Imprisoned for their awesome layout.
This server is ran on a dedicated server, with backups daily and 24/7 uptime. Our server is a first come, first serve system, but we will upgrade our slots as soon as we agree to need more space to accommodate our prisoners.

Running from top-notch hardware, I bring to you MINER APOCALYPSE! The server started for the original and first subreddit [1] /r/minerapocalypse, with one goal, a server which focuses on being deserted and lost in a world of chaos, looting but also the occasional friend.
Miner Apocalypse is not for the faint of heart. You will probably die, you will probably kill someone, but in the process you will have loads, upon loads of fun. The original subreddit gives you base information about what players are doing, who plays on the server, and news from the staff.
On our website you will see a list of rules, a link for the people who want to donate, and a link to click if you've been banned.
We try our best to bring our players the greatest experience from a survival/pvp/semi-vanilla server by banning hackers, being supportive and letting the community grow by itself, and as little admin/mod impact as possible. Yes, moderators are able to play, but they do not have permission to ruin the game for you. If they do, you are enforced to tell us through using the /helpop command.
The server features creative use of random spawning, to ensure the best next-to-hardcore feeling. If you have a bed, however, random spawning will be overridden (just make sure to keep your bed safe!).
There are many player-made factions on Miner Apocalypse (no, we do not run a faction plugin) and people use the subreddit as the easiest way of communication. There are no rules on making a faction, you play the game like you want it to be played, with little- to no interaction from 3rd party plugins.
The server is best enjoyed hot, and griefing/stealing/killing is 100% allowed. Not said that it's smart to do, as people tend to keep a log over who are bad guys.
The server has over 2000 players visited all time, and around 50-100 players active EVERY DAY, maybe even more! We run a server located in Germany, but it should not be a real problem for international players, as long as your computer isn't running off a potato for internet.
