A few thousand years later, humans came into existence into the world, forming groups and nations. These consisted of the nations of Averésia, Exedia, Lowen, Slaryn, and Cattagia. The two largest empires, Averésia and Exedia, soon went into a thirty-year war that reached stalemate. The World Council was formed by Lowen and Slaryn as a result of the war and to maintain the world's balance. However, Cattagia, or the fifth nation, joined the World Council and became the deciding factor in many decisions. Later, Exedian soldiers discovered the island of Heonia after being sent on a mission. The Exedians realized that the island held special properties and a magical material of arcane energy soon after their scientists researched and experimented on the island. Eighty years passed until word got out about Heonia to the other nations. The four nations soon followed up with expeditions to the island. This is where your journey begins.
